I’d also like to know why GO SMS Pro is making TCP connections to IP in China and exactly what data it is sending there? Use tool like OS Monitor and check if your GO SMS is also connecting to 219.136.248.237.
I’m in Korea, and I love the Go Apps, The only problem I have is that each time I update the Go SMS Pro app, it tells me that there is a security issue with the source. Do you know anything of this?

I’ve written about this before please can someone acknowledge this issue & try and fix it or let me know if it’s not a Go SMS problem. Idk what it is but i miss the Delivery Report feature.
I have a problem ever since i upgraded to stock Gingerbread on my Droid 2 (i believe that’s when the problem began, i could be wrong) I no longer receive delivery report toasts or the little check mark to show my message has been received by people that I text who also have Verizon like i do..
before it worked fine but now it is not working.
PLEASE FIX THIS..I have emailed Go Dev twice already, and posted on here on the Go SMS Blogs MANY TIMES before but no response yet.
I seriously just copy & paste..this is ridiculous. So many updates and still nothing has been done about the Delivery Reports -.-
I have started using Go SMS Pro and think it is excellent. However, it would be even better if one small improvement was made. I installed it because I wanted to set an individual notification for a bird watching text alert service I use. This service sends me texts that do not have a ‘real’ phone number associated with them but instead they arrive with the name of the pager service where the number should be (I guess they are computer generated). Even though I have managed to add this name as a phone number associated with the contact (via Gmail contacts) I cannot get Go SMS Pro to recognise this ‘name number’ when I try to set an individual notification. I think something has been changed recently in an attempt to fix this problem because now when I try, the ‘name number’ appears in the dialogue box where you can choose which number you want to associate with the individual notification. However, when you press the ‘Ok’ button to proceed to the options page for the contact you are sent back to the main individual settings page instead and the ‘name number’ contact does not appear in the list of contacts with individual settings.
Also, it seems that you have to set individual setting for each number for each contact. Wouldn’t it be simpler, and also potentially a fix for this problem that I am reporting, to instead just have the option to set an individual notification for all numbers for a contact in one go.
Please can you fix this so that I can set a individual notification for such computer generated text messages. If it helps, I am using a HTC Desire HD phone.
I am having the same issue. Not with a bird watching service but otherwise it’s the same. The “phone number” for the people that send me texts shows up as an email address and go sms won’t recognize it. Any help would be appreciated.
I have a notification for a non existent message that I can’t get rid of. I have uninstalled the app, cleared the data, rebooted etc. It keeps coming back.

GO SMS Pro is pretty good, but specials characters like á, é, í, ó, ú, ñ makes the sms was two or three times bigger and I must pay more. You can fix this?

1) When GO SMS is open and i try to adjust the notification volume with the hardware volume buttons, the Media Volume is adjusted, not the Ringer Volume as it should. I have to leave GO SMS in order to adjust the ringer volume. Adjusting the Media Volume is a useless action to have from this app. Please link the volume buttons to ringer volume instead of media volume.
2) When you get a new message, the popup always shows you the oldest message you got, often including an older message that i have already responded to. I think when you get a new message, it should be displayed first. The NEWEST message should alway be on top of the new message popup, NOT at the bottom. It decreases the usefulness of the popup when i have to scroll through a list of old messages to see the new message. The whole point of the popup is to show you the new message a quickly as possible, and right now it;s as slow as possible.

separate notification options for private and regular messages. Both could have settings for audio/visual/vibrate notifications.
For example:
- private message only displays an icon
- regular message vibrates, sounds and displays icon

Hey why is it that whenever i scan for font packages it only shows 1 font package found? I’m feeling kinda sad because of this, i want to customize my GOSMS interface’s font! Hoping for some answers. BTW, i own an SE Xperia Mini Pro (unrooted)
First, thank you for this very nice application
But I have a problem when using go sms et go keyboard together:
when I write a word by gliding on the letters (sorry for my poor english langage) I need to validate each word or “press” the space bar after each word, otherwhise the word written is deleted once on two when writing the next word
this doesnt happen when using the editor of go sms, nor others applications
Is this a bug or is there something special to do to avoid this?)

by default, long sms are not converted in mms
I am new to this app, which I chose over the stock GB app, because I understood that it was possible to easily send group messages. So far, I am unable to find a way to save a group of numbers/addresses as a text message group, so that I don’t have to manually select a dozen contacts the next time I want to send a new message out to the group. Surely there is some way to do this? Thanks.
I like GO SMS… But I have a problem with individual notification for short numbers. I can’t add individual notification for number which use only 3 digits (for ex. 900, 600, 500). Fix plz, if possible.

I have the latest version but when I receive an SMS, I get 2 identical messages! Twice the same message!
Notifications are disabled (cause I use Noled) and are also disabled in the stock SMS app.
How can I stop receiving twice the same message all the time please? thnx

Since the last update the application’s response time has got noticeable slower. Everything takes time now. Not so smooth anymore!
I am using a Samsung Galaxy S.
Hope it will revert itself back to the previous performance after the next update.

I have an issue every once in a while where a message comes in but it doesnt associate with the current conversation thread. It’ll create a new one. So then I have 2 threads for “John Smith”. One with 200+ messages and one with 1 message. Is there a workaround for that?

So, a couple of suggestions for the next release:
> I agree with fixedthefernback’s comment re the newest message being displayed first. It is odd to have the newest message at the bottom. Suggestion: give the user the option of having the messages displayed in ascending or descending order. Would seem to be a simple tweak.
> Give us an option to set up a distribution list, like in email programs, where we can construct a group of addresses and give the list a name. I have a group of employees serving on a committee, and it is easier to communicate with them during the work day thru text messages.

In the contacts listings, is it possible to arrange contacts alphabetically by family name rather than first name?

Duh. Thanks; the contacts app with my Serendipity VII.3 ROM has a “groups” function. I was trying to make it complicated . . . NM.
I really like GO SMS Pro but there are a few issues I would like to solve:
1. Is there any way to disable/filter SIM Contacts from Contacts list? I’m using Google contacts but I also need contact on my SIM card in case my phone die and I need to make necessary call from another “spare” phone. I have duplicate contacts now. I can filter contacts in default Dialer and Contact app but no in GO SMS Pro.
2. I have sorting isuess in SMS Contacts. In Czech language there are extra alphabet letters for exampl: Š, Ř, Ž, .. Correct sorting is ..S,Š,..R,Ř,.. GO SMS Pro puts all names in the end of the Contact list. I’m using Czech GO SMS Pro plugin. All my other applications sort the contacts properly.
3. Minor thing. Would be possible to add option: “not show message counts” in notification panel for private messages. This option works only for the main messages.

Hi, I am also having this problem. My SIM has my backup contacts but I am mainly using my Google contacts on my android. In display settings, I have already set it to not show SIM contacts and this works fine on the stock SMS app, but when I use Go SMS Pro I am still seeing my SIM contacts. I only want to see my google contacts. Anybody has any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks in advance.

When you open the picture in an MMS its cropped…

Stock message opens picture in full (asks you what app/program to use, maybe this would be a easy fix so then I can use quick pic)

Why can’t I text to someone’s e-mail??
I just recently got the Optimus Slider and have downloaded Go SMS Pro. When my dad’s at work he likes to send me messages via his e-mail address to my phone. I can receive them just fine, but when I respond the message continues to have the little green arrows indicating it’s sending, and it never actually sends. I’ve tried turning wifi on while sending, and the same with 3G, but nothing is working.
Please help?
